Discover Madrid on foot like a local. Small groups, passionate guides, you set the price.
What is a free walking tour in Madrid?
A free walking tour is a guided walk through Madrid with no fixed entry cost. You book your spot online without paying anything, we meet you at Plaza Mayor next to the statue of Felipe III, and at the end of the route you decide how much to tip the guide based on how much you enjoyed it.
We've been walking Madrid for 9 years with passionate local guides — all certified and specialists on their route. Our free walking tours cover the must-sees — Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace, Cibeles, Gran Vía, Literary Quarter — but also the details you won't find in guidebooks: legends, court anecdotes, century-old taverns and the most authentic castizo Madrid.
We offer five different routes so you can pick the Madrid you're most interested in: Habsburg Madrid (historic core), Bourbon Madrid (monumental), the Literary Quarter, the Civil War (20th century) and Medieval Madrid (origins). All tours last between 2 and 2.5 hours, are family-friendly, and run rain or shine.
