This page explains which cookies we use on wakeuptours.com, what they do and how you can manage your consent at any time.
How to manage your consent
On your first visit we show a banner at the bottom with three options: accept all, reject all or customize. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of any page, or right here:
Your consent is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and expires after 12 months; we will ask again after that.
Types of cookies we use
1. Technical (always on)
Essential for the site to work: session handling, language preference, storing your own consent choice. They do not require your permission under GDPR and ePrivacy; without them the site cannot be served.
2. Analytics (consent required)
We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2 to understand which content works and to improve the site. If you reject analytics, GA4 still receives fully anonymized signals (no cookies, no identifiers) just to model aggregated traffic. Your privacy is preserved.
3. Marketing (consent required)
Reserved for future remarketing or targeted content campaigns (e.g. Meta Pixel). Currently inactive, but we leave the choice ready for when we turn them on.
4. Booking widget cookies
When you book a free tour we use Dónicus, and for day trips, Bokun. These widgets do install technical cookies needed to process the booking (cart, payment session, fraud prevention). They load at all times because they process a service contract between you and us — which under GDPR falls under article 6.1.b (contract performance). It is the same legal basis used by Booking, Civitatis or Airbnb.

Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, object, cancel and to data portability (GDPR art. 15-22). You can exercise these rights by writing to wakeuptours@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy we will let you know, and if the changes affect your consent we will ask you again via the banner.
