“Bohemian Madrid at the turn of the century”
Tour Description
This tour is currently offered in Spanish only. Madrid at the turn of the 20th century was the stage for Europe's last great bohemia: poets living on credit, cafés where literary revolutions brewed, anarchists planting bombs, and a brand-new genre — the esperpento — that changed Spanish literature forever. We follow the steps of Max Estrella and his creator, Ramón María del Valle-Inclán, through the very streets featured in Lights of Bohemia.
